Last night was nothing short of amazing. Yea yea, I know, no Elevator, Nash, etc. Honestly it didn't matter at all. Free refills, endlessly forgiving. Smiling at work for a change.

the delayed open allowed another smokey cold layer
to accumulate before getting pugetopolis pounded.
this was a special day, one that the late great Warren Miller
would appreciate and probably take the time to document.

Indeed Friday was special best of the season for me. Knee to waist deep pow all day.I-90 being closed helped to shorten the lines which were non existing after noon.Shot sex delivered all day. Our expectations were high for Saturday unfortunately all the goods were wind scoured and the thigh deep powder was reduced to 5" of heavy crust. Skiing was still good down Nash, Adrenalin , and Lower Nash delivered when you could see. We toasted to the great life of Warren Miller in Lot 4 with some exceptional barrel aged stout reminiscing of his live narations at his films .Was close to rain when we left but the goods are scheduled to return early in the week

Too bad they shuttered it today due to stability concerns with all this rain.

Fun hattrick of days on the padded seats with ya, FA. You sure know how to put together a good time and get a great turnout, even with less than stellar conditions. I'll now return to my duties at the eastern end of Snoqualmonix in the rain...

Deeper & softer than you'd think.
No lines.
Racers took over all of Sessel in the evening.
Cascade T back in action & groomed E2E, must've taken all night because Debbie's was left unkempt
Rain & rest took most of the moguls away
3/7 mediocre kind of day

even the tourons don't bother with our lil shithole unless it's a stellar weekend

The golf course played nice under the lights tonight. Mellow angles w/ minimal turning brought out the smiles across the small crowd. I just wish the carts moved faster...

Skiing looked very promising as I pulled into lot 4. Dumping and about 7 new in the lot. Mark texted that they had closed I90 and I was in the lot WHOOPEEE!! Got to Chair 1 a little after 9:00 and they were loading. The line was less than 5 minutes and was on the way. At the top could see they were loading 2 and headed up. Dreams of epic conditions up top. The line at 2 was less than 5 minutes. International was closed but Shot 6 was open. Headed down Cante in boot deep pow to upper Rollen. No rocks and straight down. Then the wind hit me, blizzard white out conditions and blowing so hard I went straight just to keep going. I had just encountered the strongest winds I have encountered at Alpy in 45 years. Got to Breakover to Shot 6 and the skiing was very good. Below the cat track was very heavy. International skied well as did Lower I even in the avy debris Made a number of more runs down mostly thru Shot 6 which continued to deliver. They closed 2 a little after noon. Winds were incredible creating total blizzard conditions (my face has been blasted). Had to wait for the winds to subside to get into Breakover.

Headed to lot 4 and it start to rain hard. Hope tomorrow cools with more snow
