so yesterday the mediocre wind helped make skiing soft
now today the harsh wind from last nite made styrofoam
both days cc but you can decide which was better skiing ::)

Mountain skied great on Sunday.  Was shocked to find, two days after a storm and a busy Saturday, that things like Powder Bowl/Rollen/Gunmount delivered untracked turns until I decided to head out Nash.  From there it was playing skiers right under the Clever into the trees, then helpings of Sunshine and Hummox, with deep, soft untracked lines mixed in until closing bell.  What a fun mountain you guys have!

it's funny how that worked considering the 37k
pugetopolispowdertechs that occupied Saturday.

tower 9-13 were just about unbearable till @10:30
spun a few but the headwind screamed, go to Sessel.
once el sol rose above shot8 it was more manageable
ski school kids still dominate but even they were chill
Nash and it's environs were visually stunning & chalky

one of the quietest days of the year

A monumental day for my lilC loading the Padded Seats!

Reversed roles w/ flowing & co. and made my way to the padded seats to see what leftovers remained. After an exploratory mission out back I settled for hot laps on the lower mtn during the last ski skool lunch break of the season then linked up w/ some like-minded individuals and pushed further out the gate. Ended the day with a long lap to the bottom via pineapple and still had plenty of time to catch the sunset from my living room window out East.

Slashes in the shade continued to powder faces
Rode right on 2 thanks to the exceptional grooming
Snow on the far side was perfect for afternoon 'shrooming

BTW I really enjoyed the country club (on a dead day) crowd and muted clothing colors in comparison to what will happen once the fair resort to the south closes for the season ;-)

What, the touring crowd dresses too brightly for your taste?

Easter's on the calendar but everything after that is TBD

A very variable week with the same type of weekend only different.
Q did well considering he was the youngest in his division and the
littlest was able to eat shit a few times, pick her self up and ski.
was nice to return home from the lbcc dry and get some maritime

The bright spanking new Obermeyer gear does help with visibility on flat light days, if you ski close enough to them to see the light reflected from their clothing on the snow...

Please do!! And I will too the next time I see him. Super strong and smooth on top, I was so pumped. And then looked strong down Low I, comments by a number of coaches around me on his bump technique. 8th place rocks!!! That was a strong field.

No numeric rating but yesterday afternoon was pretty fun. Moody cloudy spring afternoons with some light sprinkles are growing on me. The low angle stretches never got grabby and everything was soft or at minimum carvable (i.e. some firm bits on upper I inbetween piles of loose snow were very edgeable). There's still plenty of terrain that has not yet consolidated from lack of "skier grooming" but also plenty that is in very nice skiing shape.
