Splitboard boot invention was created by Jake the Brit
More of a mash up than an invention. It's a Scarpa Omega with a Ride RFL upper sewn onto the top, an Intuition liner inside & the important bit - Dynafit tech inserts in the toe.
3lbs/ foot, up-tracks really well, down is good as long as it's not really firm, when the high position seems to make life hard work. The remainin glugs could be ground down & lower the riding position.
All in, it's great to have a solid climbing boot underfoot for serious antics, and light on the uptrack too with 2.5oz binding. Except you've got 3lbs of Sparks in your backpack!
I have 4 days on them, all memorable!
Dave Page did the sole removal & re-fit, kudos to him & his crew for grinding the lugs down. I don't think he'll do it again though!

Next time go for Atomic Backlands and Phantoms and don't mess with anything custom.
