Snomo joyrider / thief

The MTTA xc and hut system in Ashford has about 40k overnight hut guests and three times that in trail day use per season.  Yesterday morning at about 5:30 AM, some lowlifes drove up in their early model, dark blue and jacked up 4-Runner, onto the Southside trail, somehow defeating the large snow berm at the trailhead, made their way to the equipment park and stole one of the grooming snomos.  They beat feet down the road, 4-Runner in front and snowmobile chasing on the mix of ice, gravel and pavement.  They went about 5 miles, then let the machine fly over the bank into a ravine, where we found it, alongside two other snomo wrecks from previous events.  Serial thiefs.  Local tweakers suspected.  No joy..   >
