(Warning: Random sarcasm. Read at your own risk.)

I was surprised this morning to read that George Taylor , the official *clearing throat noise* "State of Oregon Climatologist"--the dude that forecasted Oregon would have a wet/cold winter --was quoted in a Reuters article published today appearing to be either defending or mitigating anthropogenic climate change.

"My bottom line is that natural variations are much larger than the human component," said George Taylor, state climatologist for Oregon

Taylor is only quoted once and his comment is not elaborated on. The article is titled, "It's a Warmer World, But Does That Mean Armageddon?":
story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&nci...vironment_warming_dc

FWIW, Oregon is a blue state (actually were kind of more purple)--Multnomah county (the county of Portland) went 72% for Kerry. Taylor is not an elected official ;-).
