Freshies this weekend? was created by mej
The National Weather Service is forecasting snow levels to drop to 3500 from Saturday through early next week, with precip at least probable thru the weekend into next week. It is even supposed to hit 3000 at one point. Snow-forecast.com is forecasting anywhere from 6 to 10 and even 12 (above 4500 near Snoqualmie) inches from Sat. night thru Sun. night. While I have doubt it will be this snowy or cold, it doesn't hurt to hope.

I only signed up for six months -- I figure I don't need powder reports after April, since don't plan on flying down to chili or anything.

What's funny the fact that the way I made the posts above that the images aren't static -- so you can just keep checking back on this thread and you'll get 72 and 144 hour forecasts gratis until they change the way their site is organized.

I thank Randy for posting this great free (cough, cough) weathermap info. I am having difficulties coordinating the NOAA report with the forcast of precip in our area. I read where we have a Winter storm warning-Yet in the updated model there is a gray color over the entire Washington Cascades forcast area. Below each map is a color coordination for precip and snow totals predicted-I can follow that, although grey is not in the chart. Can someone help me understand the grey area?
Thanks-JDB

PDX's forecast discussion this morning included the text "BRRRR." (verbatim) in it.
