No need to register for the slide show. Just show up.<br><br>As for October rains leading to good snow conditions later on, I seem to recall more times that it leads to a good snow pack, but with long periods of dry, sunny, warm conditions in Jan-Feb (high freezing levels, strong easterly winds, bad skiing conditions). Good Oct-Nov rains here often result in a great base being built up in BC and Alberta.
