1/4/19 Whistler

Based on conditions and the grooming report which shows nothing groomed in the Alpine - I'm outta here.

I heard Harmony opened at the end of the day, and the snow was much better.

Our plan to ski Wednesday, Thursday, part of Friday didn't work out very well as the snow was still hard Wednesday, heavy Thursday, and too wasn't open until late on Friday. This reminded us that Whistler really is a destination resort especially in deep winter...The weather can be grim with big dumps keeping the Alpine closed, or warm conditions making Lower mountain conditions difficult.

This year the Epic Pass seems to be taking off up here. Weekends have been crowded!
