11/23/18 Whistler

Good enough first day as I have a pass and a place to stay. New snow the last few days has kept the snow as good as it usually is on Emerald. It got very crowded, however, on Emerald, and uncharacteristicly the line was allowed to go uphill on to steepish, hard snow, and it made it very difficult for kids, riders, and beginners. The new 6 Pac kept stopping and the line got to over 35 minutes when I left to do better things...after lunch they surprised everyone and opened Red and saved the day. They also opened the Creekside Gondola so we used that instead of the very long Village Gondola download line. Tomorrow both should be open as well, but half of Vancouver, and all of Washington's Epic Pass holders are expected....Big, Big storm on Monday, but maybe not what we want...Wish I had a pineapple ball...
