Well, it was still winter April 29th at A-Basin. 2" of light fluffy powder on frozen groomers, overcast and snowing lightly. I highly recommend it. Best run of the day was after a  hike, sucking for oxygen at 13000 feet, to the North Pole to be rewarded with a blower-powder filled chute. Short but oh so good.
To break up the monotony I skied some frozen moguls underneath the Zuma lift. 
Lapped several runs on the Pallavacini lift and conditions were OK, more loose, soft snow there on top of not frozen hard, but frozen base.

Hiking to the North Pole


Did that in mid-March. Yes, hiking at 13k is tough for flatlanders like me. My Boulder son made it look easy.....damn him!
