We spent the night in a Sno-Park about 7 miles from the Bachelor parking lot.  For the last few years Bachelor Security has required that you pay $15 a night to park overnight in the Pine Martin lift lot.  We've parked there free for years and on principle don't want to pay the fee, so the Sno-Park works and is protected from the weather.   Also I just found out that after you have skied or toured you can buy a token for $5 for a 5 minute shower and get every one on your team clean before you drive home.   ;)

We used the free ticket that we got from last fall's Warren Miller ( in name only) movie, where we also got tickets for a few other areas. There are 3 lifts operating at Bachelor: Pine Marten, Skyliner and Summit Express.  The top to bottom vertical is 2800'.   At 9am they started to load and it was the start of a beautiful spring day.  We skied the summit as the run softened and continued to the base.  We just followed the sun as it softened the slopes and as the shady parts of a trail received the sun they became perfect for fast groomers.  The lower part of the trails as they approached the lift entrance (not the Summit Express) were slushy and bare in spots.  After 2.5 hours of great skiing our day was done.  We noticed the locals were also leaving.
