southern resort for tuesday the 24th of Feb.

no big deal but i waited for ddk's to happen, big suprise, no report yet, so the flowing agenda will ensue. pretty big slab of cement upon arrival that the big el sol wasn't yet shining upon. took some time to get in the proper mood and then got gear to the bucket. a few minutes after the spinning gondy had loaded the anxious old dudes needing their fresh groomers, me and q quietly loaded a vacant bucket. soon we were arching big turns on big slopes with lines running down their length. this got boring quick so we looked for some crags and nooks near spitting elk. after about 3,745 turns we decided to go big with even more turns on grubstake. that got old after another 2,398 turns so we called it with a peek at the folks skinning lucky shot. one portage at tinkerbelles feet was all that was recquired to finish a day without soup. we did see some swell rainbows from the cool snow making machines.

Awesome report. Impressive amount of turns...put all us old folks to shame....and gonna say most young folks that dont know how to turn....yee haa.

nice report bF. Miss you and the Alpy gang, maybe this week things finally start to change. Heading to CO to ski with Graham this weekend. And its nuking. Wohoo.

Comment on SW CO... Indeed, it is! The San Juan's / Silverton area got a couple feet this past weekend and possibly there's a repeat in store this weekend. Further north in the west elks area (crested butte) we had appx 12 inches last weekend and another foot or so coming this weekend.

Friends ScottK (TAY) and his better half are here for 5 days starting tomorrow... Will be great!!

After BC skiing so much in WA for years, TR'S here seem to be almost discouraged... There's a ton of bc activity not mile from town as the crow flies, but there isn't a "TAY CO" per se. Oh well.

Gotta say, southern resort does cover a very large part of the west.....
