Epic pre-Thanksgiving powder day. Stuff was sloughing bad off the steeper faces. They even had Lucky Shot closed for awhile while they were doing control work in Powder Bowl. Does anyone know if they opened High Campbell or Northway? They were blasting when I left at 1:30 and the snow was letting up.

What a day, thigh deep on westface.
waking up at 4:30/ hard. Starbucks coffee for two/$4.00, 1.5 hour ride with good music/ sweet, skiing thigh deep snow with your 32 year little Boy and seeing that powder smile that I have seen so many times, PRICELESS. Thanks Ulla

Tomorrow before the warm up will be EPIC.
Wind was refilling everything.
My last run down Exterminator from top was good and getting better by the minute due to refills.
I heard they cosed Lucky Shot because somebody got buried to waist in avy on Powderbowl. Don't know if it came from above or if the person was actually skiing it.

High Campbell never opened all day, so all that terrain should be great on Monday. Snow was winding down around 2pm, but wind was filling everything in nicely.

Tomorrow will be good.

It was still snowing when I left around 4:30, but slowing. Even if it only snows a couple inches overnight the wind (as others mentioned) should provide untracked conditions tomorrow.

If they get chair 6 open tomorrow...and if you get any visability... it could be all time. If it doesn't the Frontside and Upper Bull will likley be good bet's as they were both super fun open to close.

Northway, Campbell, Grubstake, Southback were all closed, and should be good. Left angle trees was closed, but some folks that look a lot like myself partook anyhow. ;) i hear that area was very deep, and barely skied, but that slabbing and sloughing was taking place. certainly worth the effort.

Tomorrow morning will be good. Since it looks like the warming trend is coming later, maybe the afternoon will be good too? Scotsman is correct in that the wind (gusts around 60mph) was a friend today, as well as an enemy.

Good clean fun, except for the sandblastings when the wind really picked up. The snow was a bit spooky - it often had that quality of "shattering" in front of my skis and legs, versus simply poofing up. There were some steep shots through the trees where I really didn't want to stop until I could turn out of the fall line in case there was a wave of snow behind me. I had one decent-sized pocket slab pop out and move several feet downslope at the bottom of one of the bowls (right at the rollover of a small sparsely xmas-treed knoll). All of which reinforced my sense that it was a good day to ride the lifts.

And who doesn't love getting fresh tracks at 4PM on a Sunday?
