Like the WA areas Whistler had a huge January but then February kinda tapered off. There had been no new snow for several weeks. Monday weather clear but cold. Tuesday overcast foggy top no snow. Wednesday just a trace of snow. At least the general temps warmed up, compared to readings of like -22C at alpine I'd seen just a few days earlier; never got colder than -10C up there. Didn't bother with any touring not even the fake touring at Flute. Everything was fast and hard but only occasionally was it truly scrapey ice. For cruising it was fun. Stateside school breaks did not totally flood the place, lines seldom longer than 10min anywhere. Promised snow for today did not really materialize as we drove out. Newly cleared out Peak to Creek run is good quad burnin fun. Talked to one group on my last run Wednesday that said Ruby Bowl was retaining some of the windblown and old styro, might be a place to check out.
