The alpental backcountry was open on Superbowl Sunday. Lift lines on chair 2 were 30 minutes until about 1:30pm.

What an incredible day, even with the lines!!!

if only i'd have known in advance that the ref's for the superbowl were gonna throw the game in Pittsburgh's favor I would've skiped watching and stayed up at Alpental longer <br><br>great day...thanks Jason for letting me tag along with you and your bro.

An awsome day! It was worth waiting for the crowds to clear out. First run through my favorite BC stash this year. Thanks for the tag along run Jason.

Lines were long, but the BC was wide open, especially knolls 1 and 2. Great Scott/Draft Dodger also excellent. Good to get some before this sunny and warm streak &gt;
