Turns All Year Trip Reports Disclaimer |
Skiing, snowboarding, hiking, walking, and all other methods of travel or recreation on snow are dangerous and a potential hazard to personal safety. Each person who ventures onto snow is responsible for their own safety. Many snow travellers find that education, information, and experience can increase their safety when they are on snow. The trip reports and replies posted on Turns-All-Year Trip Reports may appear to offer information about the safety of travelling or recreating on snow, but it is critical to remember that posts on this web site are not evaluated or edited for accuracy and represent the subjective experience of the author.
Individuals may have widely differing perceptions, for a given location, date, and time, of the safety of travelling or recreating on snow, of avalanche hazards, and of skiing or snowboarding conditions. The hazards and conditions reported in a trip report or reply can change rapidly. In addition, individuals can differ greatly in both their perception of objective hazards and their acceptance of the risk to personal safety of these hazards.
Posts in Turns-All-Year Trip Reports are trip reports, not trip guides. Most authors do not attempt to provide sufficient information for their post be used as a trip guide. Users of Turns-All-Year Trip Reports should not use posts as trip guides.

(2) The title ("subject") of a trip report post may be edited to conform to the standard format of: month day, year, location (eg. July 11, 2002, Camp Muir). This alteration would be made to facilitate browsing of trip report archives, and would not include any other alteration of the author's post;
(3) In instances where a new topic has been posted in the wrong category, it may be moved to an appropriate category, as determined by a Turns-All-Year Trip Reports administrator.
