I have some well loved, now vintage K2 Summit 8611 skis (blue version) with skins and Dynafit comfort bindings. Service-able and in decent condition. Drilled for approximately 297 bsl boots. Ski’d these from the summit of Elbrus. Picture and description here: https://www.geartrade.com/item/451012/k2-8611-superlight-touring-ski-flat
Hundred bucks? Happy to haggle if good beer is included in the deal to keep the mountain karma flowing. PM or call 206-3hundred-nine34three

Have an older pair of Dynafit Manaslus, 187 length, widths 122/95/108 Fair shape, good edges, no core hits on bases or topsheets. These models are the ones with built-in screw inserts for Dynafit bindings with multiple screw inserts to mount the Dynafit bindings at various positions to accommodate different boot lengths.
Currently have Dynafit FTs mounted up on them for about a 305 mm length boot (bindings not for sale)
Come with cut to fit wall-to-wall G3 skins in good shape with good glue.
$50 cash.
My email addy is on the left if you're interested.

I appreciate the offer but I already have a New pair of Speed Turns that it'll be using. Thanks again.

Happy to haggle if good beer is included in the deal to keep the mountain karma flowing. PM or call 206-3hundred-nine34three Bruce I'm not sure if the folks on this forum who are newer to backcountry skiing really realize what a killer deal Bruce is offering with his 8611's. Since it appears that I may have poached his buyer I feel obligated to enlighten the unenlightened of my perception of the benefits of his proposal.
1. I've been skiing the backcountry for almost 25 years now and at least 20 of them on dynafit bindings. I would buy Bruce's setup on a heartbeat if I was still buying gear but I have enough dynafits now to last me the rest of my life. All but one of the bindings I own I bought used in deals just like the one Bruce is offering. For years I thought used dynafits (expect for Tri-steps) were worth about $250 because I couldn't break them and I couldn't wear them out. So anytime someone offered skis with dynafits for sale for less than $250 I bought them. Now, since the dynafit patent has expired and there a lot of other tech bindings there, maybe I would downgrade the value used dynafits to say $200. But even at that, Bruce's deal at $100 is a steal.
2. If you are a "one ski" quiver kind of person I understand. After all, putting togther the frogpelts for a second set of skis, bindings and skins at retail can easily run over $1,000. But I implore you to think about our PNW snow conditions... in the winter we get dump after dump wherein we get a foot or more of ski penetration. After a big dump it is almost essential that we have fattys under foot of at least 100 mm to ski that deep stuff (unless you name is Jean-Claude). Then we get a couple of weeks (or a month) of no snow, just cold weather while our 10% water maritime snow settles into boilerplate hardpack that you couldn't break with a D-10 cat pulling ripper teeth. Skiing that stuff with those winter Fattys will make you wish you were bowling. So the point is most experienced PNW backcountry skiers have at least two pair of "go to" skis. I call mine my Winter skis (the fattys) and my Summer Skis (the skinny ones). I've been skiing my summer skis now since a couple of weeks since our last dump in April. And I'll continue to ski them until I 'm back skiing new freshies. believe it or not, as far as I'm concerned summer skiing is the best fun of all... no avys to worry about, no avy gear to pack around, Just enjoying your friends, skiing in t-shirts in the sun and kicking back at lunch with mountain margaritas. And Bruces' 8611s are perfect summer skis. If I didn't already have a pair I'd buy his in a NY minute. Just sayin’…

Is the word "skimo" being applied to general ski mountaineering gear now? I thought it referred specifically to racing gear. In that vein, I'd think you'd be looking for skinny (sub-70mm) skis like the ones shown here:
https://skimo.co/race-skis
There's a big difference between skimo race skis and even light touring skis like the K2 8611 Summit. But it's all fun in the end.

My summer skis are skimo skis similar to Voile's WSP. With bindings, they weigh about 3-1/2 pounds. (Total, for the pair!) I think they are 62mm underfoot. They ski just fine and are a pleasure to carry. I like Ron's explanation of why we need more than one pair of skis. I have three go-to pairs though. I have Winter fatties, Spring 92mm, and summer super light.

This is insane. 5 years ago I bought new gear as follows:
- Manaslus 187cm for $400.
- Dynafit "Speed Radical" bindings $400.
- Speed skins for $200.
It'll be beater gear for me from here I on out, I swear.
