Drove up from Seattle Wednesday and stayed in hostel a little ways out of Pemberton. Made the six mile, 3500vft approach to the hut Thursday. Phelix creek trail is well marked with bright orange reflective markers. Hut had several other folks already there enjoying the snow -- On Friday night there were about 16 people and four dogs in the hut. Which helped warm the hut a little as there is no wood stove or other heat in this hut. On Friday we skied toward Mt Aragorn, with some side trips along the way to ski some powder on north facing shots along the way. As we neared the summit ridge of Aragorn weather started moving in, so we started heading back. Very enjoyable powder on the east aspect Aragorn Glacier. South facing slopes heading back to the hut were a mixture of crusty / slushy. Kicked of a small wet slide ski cutting a 45 degree rollover with direct southern exposure. Small snow squall Friday night deposited three additional inches. Spent all of Saturday skiing powder laps on north aspects Mt Peregrine, returning to the hut via "Return of the King". Very minor surface sloughing of the new snow from Friday night. Skied out Sunday under darkening skies and drove home in mixed conditions.
