The Stl'atl'imx people tell a legend of how they came to settle in this beautiful area. During the Great Flood, a man named Ntanenkin saved the village children by placing them in the massive canoe he had built. They were carried north and up to the mountain tops where they took shelter. When the waters had receeded Ntanenkin and the children made their home in the valley below, near where Ska'tin is today.

Toby and I found our own bit of shelter in their mountains over the weekend.

Does Sylvie know about Toby's other woman?

Who am I kidding, of course she does... Nice job y'all.

A bit embarrassing, given such an elegant prelude. No disrespect intended. Just very excited. And I'm Italian. Amo la montagna!

A few photos of Matt...

That's the Lillooet nation's word for themselves.  So did you guys make a Duffy - Downton - Brew pilgrimage this weekend or what?

You bet Lee. I half expected to see you roaming around somewhere up there. Maybe next time.
