Some field beta for you fest goers tomorrow.
Snow did have a freeze overnight but warmed up pretty quick. Should still freeze well tonight, based on how cold air felt in trees on the drive down.
Fairly hazy but decent near view. Temps reasonable, never got to be shorts weather, and there was a strong cold NWerly breeze occasionally.
Lots of evidence of point releases in various places I could see from where I was, mainly on E facing slopes. Silver Basin had a few more slabby running slides that messed up the slopes a little and ran 400' or more, but slide layer not that deep.
I lapped each of the little chutes that lead either climbers left or climbers right of Threeway as viewed from Party Knoll a couple times. The right one was better, and chutes even farther right toward Silver woulda been good too.
Snow by Threeway where north facing was not exactly powder but still nice and way better than stuff that had got the sun straight on. Anything that had gotten more than a glancing sun angle was sticky.
Overall, not many people there, I saw only one other couple in Silver Basin. Plenty of fresh lines for you to trammel tomorrow!
Watch it on drive up first few miles CM blvd. Lots of small rocks on road from melting out of hillsides, in both lanes.

Thanks, Wolf.
Beta much appreciated.
We'll put it to use.

Thanks Wolfs, Snow Bell and our new Euro friends put you beta to use this morning. Another early start and we left the base at 6.00 am and used the skin track up to the top of Three way exit chute that you had presumably set. Skied really well as you said, not powder but close. We then hiked up Silver Basin and the Euros,Paul and Jaakko skied Brain Damage while Joe and I dropped Hourglass.
Soft and quite skiable but getting unstable. Called it quits at 10.00 amd and then went to Campbell lodge to the TAY party.
