A report of 9" new at Paradise and a gate opening of a little before 9, when the phone report said 10, led us to stick to plan 'A'.  Wapy provides it all: trees, gullies, chutes, and bowls.  Travel up the Paradise River, crossing it over avy snow coverage, and navigating through the lower gladed forest all worked out smoothly, though tough at times due to the deep new snow.  The snow was fantastic, but probably not a great choice if coverage not as deep as this year.  Took advantage of our up track and got a few runs for 4800' verticle.  Tatoosh delivered another nice day of snow-play :).
Nice! Way to get high and avoid lower elevation wetness.

Just great, Boot...now every drive down the road below Canyon Rim, i'll see yur bodacious line and feel even older    :)  Did you cross the Paradise River below Carter Falls?  Ever dropped north from the col at the top of Eagle Pk trail?

Sorry to cause you such pain Vogtski; well, not really  ;).  We crossed well before the Falls at about the 3300' level.  This was our first time up, so no haven't crossed the saddle from Eagle.  I think the travel and turns are much better staying on the north side, but if the gate was closed and you wanted a real early start, that would be a good option, but you'ld miss the chance on the way out to jib the bridge over the Nisqually  ;D!

The last photo is priceless!  Presume you finished with a handstand on the railing & a backflip onto the snow?  8)
