March 31, 2008, Sulzkogel (Kuhtai Tirol)

No time for a rest day after Venediger, weather is too good.  Off at 8 for Kuhtai´s base at 200m and another great sunny, cold day.  Good for holding powder conditions up high on north slopes.  Only a dozen or so others on our route, one rando racer who skis 3000´+ vert per hour.  He was on Dynafit skis and Fritschi bindings for a better workout!   Blew by us, but was still enjoying the summit when we arrived.

Soon after, he took the direct route down, and after lunch, we took the normal route, 500m of boot top north facing powder followed by 500m of south facing corn, then a couple hundred meters of cutup powder in the ski area.

Down to Gries for celebratory beer and strudel.   Sounds awfully repetitive?
