Headed for Salzburg today from Innsbruck, with a stop for a tour in a new region.  Sonntagshorn is west of Salzburg, right on the German border.  Trailhead was only around 1000m, but because the foehn is not as strong in east Austria as it is in the west, we had plenty of snow to ski right from the parking lot.

This time it was classic cascade powder, at least 30 percent water content.  There must have been 50 people skinning up today, many coming down as we ascended from 10AM for a couple hours, several more behind us, and others headed for a nearby summit that we skied after 500m of skiing on Sonntags.

Then into Salzburg to visit Hanger7, car and aviation collection of the Austrian owner of RedBull, Inc.   Very modern place, nice cappucino and real towels in the bathroom for a good wash after the tour.
Sweet.  Sounds like you're scoring big time.

I'm really digging that sweater  8).
