March 26, 2008, Flechner and Saxner (sud Tirol)

Stormy everywhere near Innsbruck yesterday made us shoppers for the day, found an old ski guidebook for east Switzerland for 70 percent off and a three cd set of soul music for $10, who says Europe is expensive?!

Today the forecast for Innsbruck was still bad but Wolfi had more tricks up his sleeve.  Off again for Rachines valley, home of good weather when all else seems bad, but yet it has plenty of snow, can some weather guy explain this to me?

Again we found nice untracked boot top powder, temperatures in the teens, wind not too bad, and increasing blue sky and sun as the day wore on.  And again, after the tour it was time for simple Euro food, awesome lasagne and cappucino just south of the Brenner pass.
