Charles, I couldn't figure out where to post this where people would see it, so feel free to move it. It is a trip report, but from last April.

Todd Stiles, Winter Recreation Manager for the Cle Elum Ranger District has given me permission to post a little video documenting a Snow Ranger patrol in the Navaho Peak area, including the Falls Creek drainage, done last April. The purpose, besides 'education and enforcement' was to document wilderness incursions by snowmobiles as well as post dual use summer/winter wilderness boundary signs.

There have been a number of posts here asking about patrolling the wilderness, if more can be done, why there is not more enforcement, etc. This little movie illustrates what is involved. Getting all the pieces together is more complex than you might think.

8 minutes, ~13 mb, in .wmv format. (For apple users, the MS download area now has a plug in for QuickTime that will allow you to view this format.)
