The clearing yesterday afternoon was forecast to hang around until this afternoon, temps were very cool this morning (below zero F on Zugspitze) so we dressed warm and headed up toward Kuhtai, 45 minutes from Innsbruck.  Picked up a loaf of Wolfi´s favorite bread on the way, just in case they sold out before we returned from the tour for afternoon shopping.  Almost calm weather, killer views, and again we were nearly alone.  What the heck, this is Easter week, where is everyone?  The few folks ahead of us made a nice track, and then stopped short of the summit walk, so we got the lonely experience up there again.

Excellent powder on the way down, and despite the hordes that finally arrived, Wolfi showed us where to find untracked lines.  Life is good.
Ausgezeichnet. We skied der Schartenkopf (south of Kuhtai) two years ago with the Trommsdorffs, accessing it by snowmobile from Niedertai. You could see Greiskogel from the summit.

Anyone know how to get umlauts to appear on this forum? The HTML ü doesn't seem to work . . .
