After reading Ema's Aug 1 post (and especially after seeing the picture) I talked two friends into joining me Saturday for a jaunt through Ptarmigan Ridge wildflowers and down the suncups. Ema, if we ever meet you, we owe you a beer. As your post predicted, the skiing was fine and should remain so for a little while longer. Thanks.
JDH, thanks for the TR! I'm heading out tomorrow for August turns, and this trip has been one of our top choices. Earlier reports had already indicated that most of the snow was gone from the south side, so is it correct to assume that you were skiing on the north side of Ptarmigan Ridge (Wells Cr. drainage)?
