January 27, 2008, Alpental BC

After getting fed up with the long lines and closed BC gates at Alpental, Vaughn, Paul, alpymarr, and I skinned and shoed to the snow lake saddle and got some NICE powder tracks amongst some sun breaks. Vaughn headed out after one lap to give a massage, while P, A, and I took two more laps from the saddle (including a slab that Paul triggered) before realizing the BC gates must be open and racing back to get on one of the last chairs up to Denny. Traversed to Piss Pass after almost getting in a fight with some asshole skiers on the upper traverse, then booted to the summit of 5261 where it started dumping on us. Skiied back down towards Piss Pass (after being partially buried in our collective slough!) making steep powder tracks...
