Nice day, big lenticular; so Reginie and I ran down to 4th crossing and easily skiinned up to McClure in about 2 hrs; ate lunch, skied down to Paradise River (mostly on powder--new snow and spindrift), sidestepped upto 9-1-1 overlooking the back bowl, jumped in, perfect corn, skied all the way down to where the creek drops off; it was so good, we did it again, by this time it was still good but a little softer. Got a leg cramp, did a forward roll turn, landed on my skis, and initiated another turn. Climbed out, headed down the the front of mazama to Paradise Valley road, nice snow till we crossed the river, then it was sticky! very good day.
Nice to see a report from you and Regine ,especially such a good one!
thanks, Robie. We did the same trip today; the only difference was the menu--powder only! ;D But things started to soften up by 2 p.m. or so.
