Based on the snoq pass telemetry of 10" of fresh from the night before, was hoping for some good skiing on the N/NE aspects of Silver Peak. Stuck to safe terrain, so opted not to do any snow analysis.
Skiing was fair - a bit of a dissapoinment. The new snow was heavy (perhaps a bit wind deposited) and sat on top of very firm crust. It wasn't bad skiing, just not as good as I had hoped.
Still, winds were light and temps comfortable.
