01/21/08 Wonder Gully Snoqualmie Pass

Went back for the Wonder Gully with better visibility on Monday.  Cat and I approached from the south shoulder of Chair Peak.  I was a bit knackered from Sundays 8 hour tour so I figured we would skip the Hourglass section of the gully and drop in mid way.

We stopped at the base of the Hourglass area off to the side and had a snack.  I was telling Cat that 2 years ago when I skied this line, we had taken a break in the same spot and 3 guys dropped in above us.

I said not today, it would have been skied by now if it was going to be. 
No sooner than I spoke and 2 guys dropped in above us.  They stopped where we were sitting and I asked where they planned to drop in. 
The nice Patroller that he was asked; "where do you want us to go?"  I mentioned our plan of dropping the couloir on the right, he said "ok, we'll take the left side."

What thoughtfull etiquette, I was most certain at the time they would just fly by us and ski our line.  What a pleasent surprise, thanks guys!
