My previously Columbian partner decided that he was tired from his travels and called in tired. So, t'was off to a friendly route near the pass. Nippy again - thermometer read 7 as I went by. Frost condensed all over my shirt as I ascended. Speedometer cable froze in my car too.
There's still good snow to be found, but it's not quite so prevalent. In sheltered open slopes, things are getting wind/sun affected. Monday's wind-slabby areas are getting evil. Hard windpack now exists on some of them. Little point releases noted on the S side of Low Mountain, N side of Humpback, and the E side of McClellan, apparently from tree/rock plops. Many aspects that parallel the Snoqualmie river are heavily wind affected.
Stellar views at/near sunrise. Get out and get it while you can!
