There ended up being a train up Mt. Snoqualmie on Sunday. We didn't get a super early start so there was a nice track all the way to the summit from the Commonwealth entrance. Our planned route was the east shoulder. The crust from earlier this week was distinct and firm. As other reports have noted, the new snow is not bonded very well with the crust. A ski cut yielded a 4" slab on a steeper east facing slope. The snow moved fast when it went. The better skiing was on lower angle slopes anyway.

It was a beautiful day with the clouds moving in and out.
