Found surprisingly lovely conditions. Low angled slopes provided very enjoyable skiing. As with reports from down south, 6-10 inches of cold powder on a rain crust. There is no bonding between this snow and the crust. We set off some sluffs quite easily on anything over 40 degrees. (Some of the best turns were in the avy sluffs after the ski cuts). With vis and a bit of snow tonight it should be fun the next few days in the backcountry.
thanks for the update, sounds like i will be able to take my dog up tomorrow. were there hoards of people? i figured there would be....
