Got up into the Simcoes via Satus Pass yesterday for my third BC adventure this week (gotta take advantage of the sun!).  It was cool and sunny - no breeze which is very rare.  I usually ski the North aspects, but they were very icy so I skied the south facing slopes which had some nice corn on top of a hollow sounding crust.  There were some large cornice chunks that had broken off.  Some of them may show in the photos.  None of the slopes beneath released.  I stayed on the 20% slopes just to be on the safe side.

I didn't have a ski buddy so I just took scenic pix of the views and the ski slopes.  You can see several volcanoes from up there, plus Goat Rocks, the Stewarts and even Mission Ridge.

ahhh, yah, that would be it.  Thanks Mack.

If you ever want to trade secret or semi secret stashes give me a shout.

I'm in Portland and mostly ski around Hood.

Oh by the way, nice trip.

If you are looking for a ski buddy on Fridays--I'm often available every other . . .
PM me if you like.

Nice to see a report from an out of the way location.
