Jan 01, 2008, -- Lake Keechelus Loop

Not many turns on this one -- but a lot of miles.  Did the trek with three others from the WSTC

Started from the south end of the Gold Creek sno-park and skied road 4832 past Resort creek pond and down to the Lake Kachess road -- crossed I-90 via the exit 62 overpass, dodged snow machines through the Crystal springs sno-park and took the "dog sled" trails to reach the nicely groomed John Wayne trail.   About an 18 mile trek.   The 1st section of road from Gold Creek to the turn off for Resort creek pond was a little buzzy with snow-machines and lumpy from "washboards" in the snow from the snow-machines -- but between Resort Creek pond and the Lake Kachess road we didn't see any machines and the road while well packed had much less washboarding.
