Lots of fun pretty much everywhere top to bottom now that the recent snow has settled a good deal. Trailbreaking was delightfully easy compared to Saturday. We found 3-6" of brittle slab layed in from recently blown in snow just over the west side of the ridge crest above 5K. It slid easily, but did not extend very far down the slope. Everything else on west through south seemed quite stable. Lots of snow moving in the air all over, but the slopes had not set into styrofoam yet so we just had fun fun fun turns whether on steep or mellow. With only a little thought about route selection, I think I had only three turns in lousy suncrusted or tree dripped snow all day - otherwise pure joy. Amazing light as the sun tapered and the high clouds thickened and lowered. The Olympics had a particularly otherworldly look to them.
