Much of what the CAC is doing is very cutting edge in avalanche education/forecasting. I am sure it will ripple through US education as well in the near future.
I'd recommend philosophically that folks understand the concepts of both the ATES and the Avaluator. It's like a little finer tuned version of the Munter method.
