We made numerous laps out past the controlled area. Saw minimal cracking yesterday (12/15) and NONE today. The snow consolidated considerably overnight and the powder was tremendous. Even got a wave off from state patrol as we tried to hitch back from the hairpin.
All around a great weekend!
Yes, we dug pits and they confirmed what we already knew.... stevens gets better snow than sno-crappy and the patrolers don't heckle you like crystal.
