CWU: Backcountry Awareness Month

Back Country Awareness will be through out the month of January. The line up of events include:

January 9, 7pm, New Student Union Building: Glenn Bandy Ski Touring in Washington Cascades: A Slide Show (Free and open to the public)

January 14, 7pm, New Student Union Building: Martin Volken, Scott Schell, and Margaret Wheeler presenting their book Backcountry Skiing: Skills for Ski Touring and Ski Mountaineering (Free and open to the public)

January 16, 8pm, New Student Union Building: Unparallel Lines: The Lost Season: Freeheel Ski Movie (Free and open to the public)

January 22, 7pm, New Student Union Building: John Stimberis and Charlie Ruben, Avalanche Presentation. (Free and open to the public)

January 25, 8pm, New Student Union Building, $8 for students, $12 general addmission: Teton Gravity Research: Lost and Found A 16mm and HD Ski and Snowboard Film

January 30, 7pm, New Student Union Building: Lowell Skoog, Skiing the Cascade Crest (Free and open to the public)

Wow, this is great!  Many thanks to the organizers.  And at the risk of offending some (hopefully not)....Perhaps this will get some college students interested in putting down, and getting away from, their various SCREENS and into the mountains!  As I type this up on yet another screen.?!.#%?
