With a free condo in Whistler this weekend we had a great group of skiiers come up. We bought the 41$ Backcountry lift ticket and skiied out of bounds from the top of the Harmony chair. Friday was a beautiful day without any clouds and nice recrystalized powder. We traversed to Singing Pass while taking a couple of short runs along the way. We enjoyed a couple of nice 1000' west facing runs before returning to the ski area. The mellow slightly downhill traverse out was longer than we realized and we ended up skiing down Symphony Bowl via headlamp. It was then a long groomer while trying to avoid snow making monsters and rocks on the lower mountain before taking the shuttle back to the Creekside condo.
Saturday we skiied the resort and made a nice final run from the unopened Whistler Peak before driving home in a blizzard.

Neat -- so did you do a lot of your runs with the kites? That looks cool.

Do you want to field that one Stefan?
(BTW: welcome to the board.)

Not quite. Just a short run with the "Speed wings." We needed a steeper slope and a better wind direction. Mostly just brought them for some testing.
