Continued to harvest what little powder was left by snoslut up in Silver basin today. Started from the car at 9:00 am under cold clear skies. On the skin up, the snow varied from light cold powder with about 1/2" of hoar frost to wind and sun crusted snow, depending on exposure. However, shaded lee slopes still held 9" of powder! The top 10 turns were very wind and sun affected, but after that it was delicious soft snow, with the occasional rock encounter. A little more hiking should lead to more fresh turns in Silver Basin area.
