Went up to Chinook Pass today with my wife Steph for some nice turns. The areas close to the road are getting pretty well tracked, but a little effort will find the untracked. Still nice low density snow with a solid base. On the north side of Yakima Peak, we noticed a small area of windslab similar to that mention by Scotsman, but we were traveling on a very low angle at the time, so no shooting cracks. We also noticed a nice layer of surface hoar in most areas. All in all, a very nice day.
