Here's a brief report of the snow conditions on Sasse Ridge as of Wednesday. Monday's storm brought the first snows here that have any chance of hanging around. The snowpack model (http://www.larryscascaderesource.com/index_files/sassehome.html ) had a fairly good handle on the accumulation, from 3 or 4 inches on the valley floor to perhaps a foot where the road crosses the ridge top at 5150 feet. Below ~2800 feet quite a bit of melting had occurred by the time I hiked out. The road would have been quite skiable, a delight even on XC skis, with 3 or 4 inches of light snow on top of a quite firm base layer. Unfortunately the road is not yet closed to wheeled vehicles, and by now at least the lower portion of the road probably has been chewed up by 4x4s. No snomos anywhere in the valley while I was there, but that will soon change.
