Hello to the Oly crew, Big Wave, Budinski, BTR...

Sorry we've been stealing your snow. Sooner or later a 145-inch dump will set the Cascades back on track.

Toured on Douglas Island for Veterans Day ritual of face shots. The snow was a few days old, but still in great shape with about 25 inches of cold gradualy more dense snow atop 10 inches of warmer wetter snow.

The sucker hole that drew me out in the morning stayed and gave us a full day to tour around. Ran into this dude Nick, see photo, also out on a solo recon so we teamed up to patroll the AO for lap to the island's crest and a view across Stephens Passage to another island full of big brown bears.

All in all a great day.

I've decided this place is the northern reach of the PNW. One land with one people from the Columbia River to Lynn Canal, indivisable, with skis and skinns for all.

Welcome to the group.  It's great to receive some visual insights about the touring up North.  For many of us, we only see the occasional promo videos of the heli operations.   Looking forward to more postings.

Yo Jimmy,
Good on ya!! You were obviously making the rest of the vet's proud!!
Keep on getting to know that place so you a show us around when we come up.
Congratulations on your cover photo too.
