Hiked the Glacier Basin Trail from the White River CG to where trail splits for winter/summer options. There found a backcountry ranger who told us we could not skin up the snow next to the stream (a customary option). Snow bridges were weakening (duh) and The Unaware would follow us and die. Welcome to Your National Park! Once past that we skinned to the top of Ruth (8700'). Enjoyed the views on this very nice day and skied/ hiked out.
