June 15, 2003, Camp Muir

Got to the parking lot at 7:30, booted up on compact snow, skied down to McClure Rock on creamy, consistent corn.  Liked it so much I skinned back up to Muir, then made a complete descent.  Snow was very good on the upper Paradise Glacier, descended via Stephens-Van Trump memorial.  Skied all the way to the parking lot.  There were very few people at Muir until Saturday's summit parties started coming down.  Parking lot at Paradise seemed to only be about half as full as one would expect with such good weather.  Met a neat guy named Mike who came from the town in Colorado where I went to college.  We skied together and talked about Colorado.
