Good friends, good fire, good pow.

Wanted to get up there before they closed the road for the season.

Not too much else to report. Not a ton of snow, but good skiing at the top and no one got hurt or killed their skis.

I was thinking the same thing myself but unlike you I did not follow through and go to WA pass. It's probably my favourite area and the snow and golden larches are an incredible mixture.

When are they planning on closing the road?

Looks like WA Pass picked up some new snow since the previous weekend...nice work getting in the turns despite a thin snow cover.

How much snow would you estimate there was at the trailhead and at your high point?  We are thinking about heading out to Washington Pass this weekend and trying to guess what coverage will be like after the warm weather this week.

There was only a couple inches at the bottom (enough to skin), and then a couple feet at the top.

The best coverage/least rocks was from the chute that heads down to the hairpin.

I don't know though after the heat.
