There was well over 2.5' of snow in places. The snow was heavy at first, and I was afeard of unturnable mank. Once we started climbing above the climbers trail, however, my fears quickly went away. The snow became light, almost powdery, one might say, by the top. We had planned on skiing down the heather slopes on the South side, but there was a wind-loaded layer that made us decide to ski on the rockier North side. No one skied over any rocks and quite a few chest-shots were enjoyed.
