September 8, 2007, Los Penitentes, Argentina

Skied up the lifts at Los Penitentes today and then about 500´higher to a ridge crest.  It is almost at the Chile/Argentina border, windy and dusty but enough snow to ski today.  Lots of Sky lines were visible.  Skinning up the icy slopes in a breeze was tiring, and the ski down was slush or ice depending on what aspect you chose, all within 50´left or right. 

Cloudy this morning in Mendoza, hope that means we have some precip coming, and hopefully it is snow at Las Lenas, the minions have been frustrated, waiting a few weeks for the "Santa Rosa" which I think is what they call the final storm of the winter season.
